Coming for a first appointment

  • Photo identification.
  • Any previous test results you have: smear, ultrasound, blood tests, pathology reports. Older results are valuable because they allow comparison.
  • A list of the medicines you take — supplements and herbal products included.
  • The first day of your last period. An approximate date helps if you cannot recall it exactly.
  • Write down what you want to ask. Questions tend to surface after the appointment rather than during it; a written list prevents that.
