Born in 1986, Op. Dr. Murat Alpay completed his secondary education at Antalya Science High School. He read medicine at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa), and completed his specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology at Istanbul Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital.

Clinical areas of interest
He treats women's health as a whole, from adolescence through to the menopause. The areas he concentrates on in clinical practice are:
- Pregnancy care and birth — from preconception counselling onwards, routine and high-risk pregnancy care, 4D ultrasound and screening tests.
- The menopause and body-identical hormone therapy — managing the hormonal changes of the menopausal transition.
- HPV management and treatment of genital warts — colposcopic examination, cervical health, HPV screening and vaccination.
- Cosmetic and functional gynaecology — labiaplasty and vaginoplasty.
- Genital laser and radiofrequency — non-surgical procedures.
- Urinary incontinence — surgical or laser-assisted treatment planning according to the person's own medical situation.
- Medical aesthetic procedures — mesotherapy, dermal filler, botulinum toxin and carbon dioxide (CO2) laser.

Consultations can be held in Turkish or English.
A note on titles. Under Turkish law the only specialist title a doctor may use is the one on their diploma. Here that title is Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Certificates held in other fields are listed as certificates, never as a specialist title.
